Service Description

Why Get a Chemical Peel? The primary purpose of a chemical peel is to enhance overall skin health and appearance. Chemical peels can: Reverse Signs of Aging: Promote new skin cell regeneration and stimulate collagen and elastin production. Improve Skin Texture: Smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Treat Specific Skin Conditions: Address hyperpigmentation, age spots, acne scarring, excessive oil, acne breakouts, enlarged pores, poor circulation, and skin laxity. How Do Chemical Peels Work? Chemical peels are non-invasive, epidermal exfoliating treatments that aid in cellular turnover, allowing healthier skin to rejuvenate. Here's how they work: Exfoliation: Professionally applied peel solutions exfoliate dead skin cells and surface buildup. Clearing Congestion: Help clear congestion, allowing healthy skin cells to rise to the surface. Reveal Fresh Skin: Reveal deeper layers of fresh, untouched skin. Natural Ingredients: Formulated with ingredients naturally found in the skin and body for optimal results and minimal side effects. What is a Chemical Peel Treatment Like? Application: Medicated solutions of varying strengths are applied to the skin in layers. Sensation: During treatment, you may feel stinging, pin-prickling, heat, or tightness. Peeling: Depending on the peel strength, the outermost skin layers will flake and peel over 5-7 days, revealing fresh skin underneath. Redness: Increased skin redness is common and usually dissipates within 7-10 days. Aftercare and Recommendations: Sun and Exercise: Avoid direct sun exposure and exercise for at least 24 hours post-treatment. Consultation: Discuss with your Licensed Medical Aesthetician to determine the best peel for you. Who Should Avoid Chemical Peels? Chemical peels are not recommended for individuals who: Have had a resurfacing skin procedure (laser, light therapy, chemical peel) within the past two weeks. Have had Botox or other injectables within the past week. Have used Retin-A within the past four days. Have used Isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past six months. Have waxed or sugared within the past 72 hours. Have a contagious skin disease or infection, such as an active cold sore. Have active acne. Have cancer. Are on blood thinners.
